Having converted the ground floor at the beginning of 2017, Obrist interior AG was now asked to renovate the two upper floors with a total surface of 400 m2 for the Casagrande souvenir shop located on Grendel in Lucerne, and to continue the concept accordingly.
A huge highlight is the «bottle wall»: it is implemented with 1.000 Sigg bottles together forming a Swiss cross. Particular emphasis was placed on conveying the typical Swiss character that tourists associate with our country. A lot of wood – functional and decorative – supports this claim. Lucerne and the mountains are presented with original silhouette cut-outs, while hiking signs guide the customer through the rooms.
The development of seating accommodations, a presentation for the suitcases and textiles, an open watchmaking room, and the integration of a toilet anteroom with a drinking water dispenser were also part of the project. In addition to planning, Obrist interior AG was also responsible for construction management and shopfitting.
